Vienna_31.10.2020 In addition to the fact that brine shrimp [Artemia] are a widely used food item for small or larval fish and crustaceans (see brine shrimp), Artemia provides a unique example of how to develop a strategy in dealing with critical conditions needed for survival. The Artemia model depicts adaptation as a complex response to … Continue reading

feeding Daphnia
Vienna_27.10.2020 I have the feeling that the fish are very fond of Daphnia [water fleas]. Even Heabea, who normally does not leave her separate chamber, came out to hunt the water fleas.
how to catch
I fed mosquito larvae from a sieve and learned that the fish easily get into the sieve. Next time I know how to catch them if I want to move them to another tank.

He was probably overeating and I suspected that the colorless zebrafish mutants were more susceptible than the wild forms. In order to show him … Continue reading
insatiable?
1. December 2019, 03:11 pm I installed a new and longer tube to train the fish to swim through. The tube could be loaded with mosquito larvae from above. It turned out that not all fish got into the tube, while others did so more often and with less hesitation. Spirit of adventure or just … Continue reading
